I lke the chrome around the buttons. I don't see that very often.

I would go with the plexi cause then you can a a varity of bezels to the build. Plus it protect the lcd from getting hit. Where did you get your flat pack btw?

I have an older mame on my xp. Works good. Same one offered in downloads section. Might help, but keep in mind, it is a bit older v.0132, so audit your roms if you use it.

yeah i think plexy is the way foward i like the chrome on the buttons

i have sorted out the mame it was the graphics card messing it up so much still to do but at least it plays games now :wink:

hi all a quick update i have had the cab running hyper spin for mame and it looks and sounds great the menus i downloaded look so cool BUT there is a big BUT i have tried to get snes and genisis working and i updated hyperspin with hyper launch and now nothing works :mad:

but my mate is coming round tomorrow to help me sort it out so fingers crossed it will work i will add some new photos soon as i have now mounted the monitor lower and moved it back into the cab and added the glass front

hi not been on for a while but have made progress with the build i have now got it running with hyperspin what a pain in the @!#?@! it was to setup but i now know it like the back of my hand lol

i have all sega,all nintendo and mame running

here is the latest picture of the build plexi glass fitted

next job is to silicone all the buttons as they keep unscrewing and wire up the leds

then build the monitor surround

the trick i found with hyperspin is not to use hyper launch 3 it messed my whole frontend up just update to hyperspin 2 and use hyper hq its so simple

Although I prefer my Windows 7 solution, I can definitely see the attraction of Hyperspin, although I'd probably want it to come complete with only the paths needing changing, which is probably wishful thinking..!
