My first All new cab!

Post by gpzjack » August 19th, 2013, 3:51 pm

Started work (Finally) on my first all new cab. I've had the parts cut for a while and i finally have time to get it together. The x-arcade is just for reference. I think i'm going to do a whole new cp with a spinner added. so far i have less than $200 into it. I bought the material and had a cabinet maker do the sides for me. I actually had two units cut so i will use this one as the prototype. I had him keep templates for future builds.

Looking good there GPZ... I think on a black cabinet, like mine actually , the old tankstick looks the part and gets 10 out of 10 for ease of use, but if you are going to vinyl the sides and you have a workshop I can see the attraction of building your own CP...

i love the tankstick but i'm a big guy and i want more room for the trackball and a spinner. I worked on a "slikstick" cp the other night and i loved the room on it. BTW my friend found Iron Maiden Trooper beer here in the states today. I'm so jealous lol

Nice..! I haven't tried Trooper beer yet, but I check the alcohol aisle every time we go shopping as it should be on general sale other than in selected stores soon... :liil:

running some newer stuff on this one. I have a newer quad core system with a nvidia 9800 gt. I'm running sega model2 and 3 so i needed something a little beefier. I would love to do a big crt but don't want the weight or the space so im thinking a 24-26 inch lcd. Also going to have a spinner and i picked up a set of top guns for it.

I've got a low end quad core in my cabinet and it runs the model 2 and 3 stuff really well, so you've no worries there mate...

AMD A6 3670K Quad Core 2.7GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, AMD HD6530D is what's under the hood running Windows 7...

Ordered a turbotwist2 today with the steering wheel. T-Molding ordered. Going to hit depot an look for molding to mount the marquee in the morning. I Hope to have the glass some time next week. I'm going with smoked glass, Not a fan of plexi on these.
