Using snaps

Post by ld17 » April 17th, 2016, 7:11 am

I've downloaded a snaps zip file and placed it into snaps folder. When I scroll through games in mame no snap pics show. Is there something else I need to do? I've pressed f12 while in a game and that pic will show. Maybe it's the wrong file, but most searches point to the same file for snaps. Thanks

As far as I know they need to be uncompressed directly in the snap folder...

That's correct. The snaps zip file needs to be extracted into the snap folder.

The snaps folder I down loaded was a decent size. 256meg. file pS_snap_fullset_170.zip from progetto-snaps website. I figured if I uncompressed it there would be quite a number of individual zip files of the game snaps. When I try to extract the file just one file shows up and seems like nothing is there. Is this not the right file? Thanks

Mine are all in the Snap folder as separate .png files where the file name of the .png matches the r0m name...

Maybe it's double-zipped. Try extracting the second file into the snap folder.

Do you mean 1 folder, or 1 file. If it's a file, then what is the extension?
