Gunbarich, 2001, Psikyo

Gunbarich, 2001, Psikyo

Psikyo's Gunbarich is a spin-off of "Gunbird" featuring Gunbird's protagonist Marion. Not sure of the story behind this, other than you are kids in a school of magic ... doing something? Tune into see if this was worth 10 minutes of my life.

A little fact: The game forbids the initials '~Not Here Please~' on the high score table. If you try, it gets changed to three smileys.

AND .... I show off my hacked arcade stick.

Warriors of Fate

Post by Incito » July 3rd, 2011, 5:16 pm

Random MAME Game of the Week (9): Warriors of Fate, 1992, Capcom

Warriors of Fate is a beat'em up with 9 stages, in each of which there are large mobs including spearman, archers, strongmen, bomb-wielding opponents, and at least Boss. There can be up to three players on-screen at the same time.
The background and all characters were based on an actual history : The Period of Three Kingdoms after the 'Han' Dynasty in China. Character designs were based on a popular Japanese manga called 'Destruction of Heaven and Earth' published by Shueisha in Japan and created by Moto Kikaku.

Tondemo Crisis (JAPAN),Tecmo 1999
This week I discover a unique game ..... and in this case, unique is not a good thing. Thanks to Wikipedia, I was able to get some history on this title....not sure why I did, but guess you guys might want to know.

Tondemo Crisis! (とんでもクライシス!,? lit. "Huge Crisis!"), is a PlayStation video game developed by Polygon Magic. The game was first published in Japan by Tokuma Shoten on June 24, 1999. Translated versions were released by Titus Interactive in North America and Europe throughout November 2000.
Incredible Crisis follows each member of Japanese, working-class family of four on their bizarre adventures home from their daily routines to get birthday presents for the family's grandmother. The game consists of several action-oriented minigames strung together and book-ended with pre-rendered cutscenes. The game was designed and scripted by Kenichi Nishi and features music from the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra.
