Re: Save state on exit

Good idea. I'd be interested to know which was the culprit, the executable or a mistake in the folders somewhere. Either way, it was a bit irresponsible of whoever released it. If only they could see the chaos they caused!

Re: Save state on exit

No worries, mate! I'm very pleased that we could find a good solution to that dilemma. :hello: Skip info is different from warnings. The nag screens, as they're commonly called, are built-in and always on for affected games. I guess it's Mamedev's way of trying to cut down on unnecessary cries for h...

Re: Save state on exit

That's great news, ShadowFlame! :woot: I think it would be okay to put the new directory in your setup, so long as you take some precautions. You obviously wouldn't want to inadvertently wipe out your ROMs collection. Your front-end, Hyperspin I believe it was, is probably configured to look for the...

Re: Save state on exit

That's worth checking because something funky is surely going on. I did a bunch of tests today, ShadowFlame, and have two things you could try, each with minor good points and bad points. Since you're on a 64bit OS, you should use Arcade64 instead of 32. That's nothing to do with the problem, just a...

Re: Save state on exit

Hang in there, ShadowFlame. :link: I just realised something. It's been a year or two since I last checked in on the Arcade main page. I was thinking about my idea for us to both get on the latest version and went to see what version number we're up to these days (which is 0.211). It was then that I...

Re: Save state on exit

Can you confirm that when you go to the Miscellaneous II section of Default game options that it now says hiscore in the Enabled plugins field and the Enable internal LUA plugins checkbox is ticked? Those are the requirements. Short of that being the problem then I don't know what the cause might be...

Re: Save state on exit

Nice one! That happens to be one of the builds I'm using, just that I have a slightly earlier version number. It's also good for this job because the Hiscore function is kinda built-in. Go Options > Default game options > Miscellaneous II. Tick the 'Enable internal LUA plugins' checkbox. Down from t...

Re: Save state on exit

That can vary depending on the MAME build and version. For some it may not work at all. In my video tutorial I demonstrate it for MAMEUIFX. Which MAME build and version number are you running?

Re: Save state on exit

Good news, both Twin Cobra games worked with Hiscore.dat to save my high scores. If you're not familiar with Hiscore.dat, I have further info here:
