Re: How do you stop from having to press OK before each rom

If you use savestates the game will begin where you left off. I generally only get that screen the 1st time I play a game., with a few exceptions

Re: Setting up the X-Arcade Tankstick or Dual with older gam

This may be common knowledge because it is so simple, but in case it's not... I also was able to set up Defender's controls similar to the arcade version using the joystick on the right, buttons on the left set up (I know that Reverse should be next to the joystick, but it felt too cumbersome) I me...

X-Arcade Tankstick or Dual with older games

This may be common knowledge because it is so simple, but in case it's not... One thing that bothered me about my Tankstick was that I was not standing in the center of my cabinet playing the early 80's one player games with a one control (joystick) setup, like Donkey Kong, Defender, ect. When I use...

Configuring a trackball for gun games

I was trying to play Revolution X in MAME with my X-Arcade Tankstick trackball, but had an issue setting it up. When you launch the game, you go into a light gun config screen where you have to shoot targets at each corner. The problem is that you don't see a cursor when you move the mouse, so you h...

MAME Zach's Blog

I assume that this guy would be a member here, but if you haven't seen this blog check it out. I'm always looking for new games to play, and this guy has reviews and descriptions of the more obscure stuff. I have a huge library of ROMs, and I probably wouldn't have even bothered with a lot of them i...

Re: Asteroids and the X Arcade Tankstick

Mine wouldn't work with the stick. Once I figured out how to do it in the tab menu I laid the controls out with rotate left an right using buttons on the p1 side and fire, thrust and hyperspace on the player 2 side. It's a little closer to the arcade layout and you can stand in middle while you play

Re: 4player games 2 player

You may need to get the two player ROM, but I'm not familiar enough with MALA to know if it will automatically refresh all of the available MAME ROMS or if you would need to add it through a list. I lucked out and the two player version happened to be part of the package that I downloaded. Maybe che...

Re: If this was your cabinet how would you configure it?

Maximus Arcade seemed like the best front end choice, but I kept having problems with it exiting games, and there are some compatibility issues with the XArcade Tankstick. To me, it wasn't worth the frustration. Maybe I just don't have the patience to figure it out. I know that there are ways to add...
