Re: iPhone users...

Running emulated code violates Apple's developer policy. So the offending app was pulled from the store. The only ways to install MAME now is to become an Apple developer ($99), or jailbreak your iPhone. Actually, there is one more - know someone who is an Apple developer, have them create an AdHoc ...

Re: Joysticks reordered

It turns out, there are so few games where I customize the joysticks that globally switching MAME P1/P2 to J3/J4 was the easiest solution. Next time I play SmashTV I will have to edit the controls.

Re: Joysticks reordered

I want to keep my N64 controller (I have a few Project64 games I like to play). I just want the N64 joysticks to be numbered Joystick 3 & 4. Can I do that?

Joysticks reordered

I had my MAME system running great: joystick 1 for player 1, joystick 2 for player 2. Then I added a USB to N64 joystick adapter. Now my N64 joysticks are numbered 1 & 2, and my MAME joysticks have moved to 3 & 4. I don't want to have to go into MAME and update all of my configurations. Even if I ma...

Re: Arcade Guns Review

I too have a CRT and would LOVE to have the old style light guns. After much research, however, I ended up with the Ultimarc light guns. It turns out, my bezel and mounting board for my monitor were design in a way that made it very easy to retro fit. And since my bezel art is dark at the top, you c...

Re: Control panel advice

I have purchased my buttons and joysticks from Ultimarc, and plan to supplement that with buttons and joysticks from my HotRod to create a 4 person control panel. Here are some considerations that I discovered AFTER my initial design: Smash TV: requires 4 joysticks, which is fine, I plan to have 4 j...

Defender Anyone?

Are there any hardcore Defender fans out there? There are a few reasons I ask. 1) Most generic controller designs fail to account for Defender. The Hotrod and X-Arcade layouts include a bat-style joystick with 7 or 8 buttons to the right. The button nearest the joystick is a real stretch for use as ...
