How to add pictures to your post

Post by Incito » December 8th, 2015, 11:13 am

Upload your picture to a picture hosting site like photobucket, or flickr. This will follow the guidelines to rule #8.
Pictures MUST be no wider than 700 pixels and no higher than 1,000 pixels, or they will not be accepted.
8) Only link images from trusted sources, like your personal online picture host. (eg. http://www.flickr.com/ , http://photobucket.com/ , etc.)

What is HotLinking? = Bandwidth theft or "hotlinking" is direct linking to a web site's files (images, video, etc.). An example would be using an <img> tag to display a JPEG image you found on someone else's web page so it will appear on your own site, eBay auction listing, weblog, forum message post, etc
.
Now make sure you get the URL of the photo.

Inside your new post, click on the Img button. This will generate the image tags.

Code: Select all

Add your photo's URL like this.

Code: Select all

[img]http://urlofyourpicture.com/yourpicturesname.jpg[/img]

Here is an example.

Code: Select all

[img]http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h86/cbrien2005/funny/vaderhomerun_zps13726340.gif[/img]
And what it looks like on the post.
