Yes, that new marquee will better suit the clean design of your bartop arcade.

I have to say that is one of the best looking bartops I have seen. I am very jealous of that paint job (I can't paint to save my life). You should definitely be proud of that build. Great job :clapping: . Be sure to make your own thread documenting the build.
Yes please make a thread in the arcade cabinets forum. Bartops do get much love out there. Maybe even put a youtube video of it in action!

And if your feeling generous put a link to where you go tthe plans.

Thanks

First post here on this forum, so hello from Sunny Arizona.

I am making a bar top off of the same plans (listed at the top of this thread) with a few tweaks as per my son whom it is for. I cut out all of the wood (using what I had laying around in the garage), and started to assemble it. He stopped me to ask if the face could be flat, so I made some minor adjustments. After all of the wood glue, brad nail, filling, and priming it is coming along nice. At this point I am almost at the end of priming. I need to pick up some fine grain sand paper and one more bottle of primer prior to shooting it with the yellow color that he wants (his favorite game, Pac-Man).

The question here is should I try to make the primer layer almost like a mirror finish prior to shooting the yellow, or leave it a little rough and use the high grit sand paper on the yellow?

Tom

Here is what it looks like now.

Incito wrote:The folks at katorlegaz.com are pretty cool. Not only have I found some awesome 3d model (made with Blender) of actual arcade machines like Defender, but they have some sweet plans for various BarTop Arcade builds.

Check them out: http://bartoparcade.katorlegaz.com/

While your at it, check out the 3d Arcade models here: http://www.katorlegaz.com/3d_models/index.php

I have made a PDF of the plans that I will archive just in case this ever disappears.

This will diffently get added to the links page!
Mr.Incito,
I am great fan of old arcade games, recently I finished building one
myself.I used plans from site http://bartoparcade.katorlegaz.com/
But unfortunatelly site doesn`t exist any more, and I can`t find plans any
more for new cabinet I want to build.I searched for days, and I found your
post on this forum.
I would be endlessly grateful if you could send me that plans.I can`t find
them anywhere else.
Thanks again.
Respect,

Respect,
I am not sure of what tools you have, or what parts you already own -- but you cango here to get the bartop kit for about $229 with free shipping (members save $10 using discount code mameaddicts). They are a partner of ours and guarantee their work. I think they might have plans as well? We do get a percentage which goes right back to the site and resources.

I don`t want to buy bartop kit,i want to build one myself :).That is why I need plans from http://bartoparcade.katorlegaz.com/ which doesn`t exist no more.
In your earlier post you wrote:

That plans were public, freeware, and they were great.I can`t find them anywhere on internet, just some fragments, and that is why I need your help.
If you could send them,I would be very grateful.
Thank you.
