How to install GameEx

Post by Incito » April 17th, 2011, 12:12 pm

I finally finished my video. It's 20 minutes, but the first 10 minutes is all you need. The last half is getting people familiar with the advanced configuration module. Make sour you have your youtube annotations on so you can see the navigation at the beginning. This will allow you to jump to an area that you need to know about, rather that have to watch the whole 20 minutes.

Hope you are like it and it is helpful.

Setting custom controls for GameEx

Post by Incito » May 27th, 2013, 9:58 am

Thought this may come in handy for someone who is having trouble mapping their controls to navagate around GameEx. Here's how you can get your controller to work.

The below will use a X-Arcade Tankstick controller as an example, but you can use for any controller.
For Windows xp and 7
  • Navigate to Program Files\GameEx\Config.
    Open the file scancodes.txt.
Find your code that will map your controls.
    Open customeconfig.ini using notepad.
Replace the code with the one you got.
Go to GameEx Advanced Configuration > Input Settings.
Choose "Yes" to Enable custom config.
Done!
