MAME Command List

MAME Command List

Hey fight fans, wanna improve your game? There's nothing as handy as having a command list right inside your MAMEPlus!.

MAME Command List - https://sites.google.com/site/procyonsj ... 4385099744

MAMEPlus! - http://sourceforge.net/projects/mameplus/

Despite what the readme instructions say, the unzipped command.dat still works if it's placed in the MAMEPlus! root directory. Once that's done it's a simple matter of pressing the tab key in-game and going into the 'Show Command List' option. If the game is supported then you can look up each character's moves from there.

Here's how the shorthand version of the command list looks in my MAMEPlus! 0.134. I guess the wierd looking row of 'u' is supposed to be an underline. Dunno why it looks like that but it really doesn't matter, the important thing is the moves are there.

Btw, the command.dat also works in MAME32 Plus Plus 0.119. The normal path to get to it is just a little different though.

You still press the tab key in-game but then go Game Documents>Show Command list.

Even better than that though, in 0.119 you can configure the command list to a button of your choosing, like this:

tab key in-game>User Interface>Show Command>Enter>choose your preferred button

Much more efficient!

Nos and I are gonna check next time to see if the command list can be accessed during online play as well.

Fight! Fight! Fight!

Definitely would make trying different 1v1 fighting games easier/less daunting as it's not ALWAYS 2x quarter-circle forward + punch, etc etc.

Yes, the command list is still accessible when playing online. The only thing is that whatever you're controlling in the game is temporarily out of your control while the menu window is open.

Problems found though mate. I DL it and put the .dat file in:
MAMEUIFX0.130: where the mamefx.exe is and
MAME+0.130:into en_US folder (though I had to create it)
Nothing happened from both sides though. Check it out:

There's no problem really, I never said that MAMEUIFX supports the command list.
