Hooray indeed! I'll tell you something, though, Windows 10 is not exactly friendly to desktop users. For the first day or two after I had my PC back, it kept going to sleep, seemingly at random. One time it happened while MAME was running, which crashed it so badly that I eventually had no choice but to do a hard reset.

I was going through all of the usual power options to try to make everything set to never turn off, but it still kept on happening. I was almost ready to ring the repairer, when something tweaked in the back of my memory; the damned screen saver!

Check it out. The default setting is 1 minute, but the bigger problem is that no screen saver is actually set to go along with that time limit, making the time setting greyed out and somehow causing Windows to treat the absent screen saver kicking in as a "go to sleep" command for the computer instead. ARRRGH, what the hell Microsoft!

Easily fixed, though, once you realise the stupidity of the defaults. Just choose a screen saver, which releases the time setting, then set it to some insanely long limit.

Jeez, man, what an ordeal!

Heh, I've had no real problems with Windows 10, but the cabinet is staying well and truly on 7, it all works and I'm not upsetting the apple cart...

Yeah, Windows 10 is generally fine once it's properly up and running, but that screen saver behaviour I described is bizarrely obtuse.
